Darrell James – Executive Strategist | Media & Technology Innovator | Ministry Leader

Darrell James is a recognized thought leader and transformational strategist with over 35 years of executive experience in business operations, media, and emerging technologies. As a trusted advisor to CEOs and senior leadership, he has shaped business acquisition strategies, market profiling initiatives, and strategic roadmaps across diverse industries.

As Founder of MyMBN, a multi-channel linear and on-demand network, Darrell has secured major media contracts including live broadcasts of the NBA-sanctioned EBC Sports at Rucker Park and an 11-episode ESPN series featuring exclusive interviews with Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Durant, and Vince Carter.

In partnership with Douglas Holloway (former President, NBCUniversal Investments), he established a 17,000-square-foot internet TV broadcast facility in Lyndhurst, NJ, hosting multiple production companies and serving clients such as Wells Fargo, Chevron, Marriott, Prudential, Netflix, BET Live, Comedy Central, NPR Music, and Sports Illustrated.

Darrell is also the founder of Bergen County Neighborhood Network (BCCN), a nonprofit dedicated to community transformation through online media and local broadcasting.

In 2012, as COO of Lowekey Media, Darrell co-launched the Songbooth App, achieving over 1 million downloads in three months and securing endorsements from Grammy-nominated artists Ryan Leslie and Miguel. He later co-led a $4.5M funding round and a $500K partnership with Pepsi at SXSW.

Previously, Darrell served as CEO of Levychin, LLC, a 40-member consulting firm focused on ERP, mobile solutions, and cloud-based workflows. His leadership produced the whitepapers "The Transformational Entity" and "CPAs in the Cloud" and positioned him as a national spokesperson for the AICPA’s CPA2Biz Cloud Division.

As Chief Technology Officer of Actiant, Inc., Darrell guided Fortune 500 clients such as Gateway, Chevron, Exxon, and Texas Instruments through eProcurement and enterprise integration projects. His client roster also includes AT&T, AIG, Sony Music, Coca-Cola, Will Smith, Puffy Combs, Andre Harrell, and Netflix.

Darrell’s thought leadership has been featured in Black Enterprise, Wired, Crain’s NY, NY Times, and more. He has spoken at global platforms such as Midem Music Conference (2015–2017) and served as Conference Leader for the AICPA’s cloud strategy division (2010–2011).

In ministry, Darrell brings over three decades of pastoral leadership. He currently serves as Senior Pastor at Orangehill Independent Church, with previous roles as Associate and Youth Pastor in New Jersey and New York, including a two-year interim pastorate at Church of the Evangel while attending New York Theological Seminary.

He resides in Sumter, SC with his wife Nicole and their children Ariel and Elijah. He is also the proud father of Aleem and Aja James.
